Haiku My Heart

This week's haiku was inspired by the creators of the Facebook page, Virgin Mary Should've Aborted.  Facebook finally took the page down (after being hounded to follow their own rules about hate speech).  Now the makers have created  Virgin Mary Still Should've Aborted and the fight for respect continues.

Atheists - if you don't believe in God, fine.  Just leave the symbols of my faith alone.  As a believer,  my thoughts about atheists are pretty much limited to acknowledging you in prayer and wishing good will for you.  But just as an observation, as a group, you all sure think a lot about God and how to actively hate Him and His people.  Well, all I can say is, "it's a start".

Don’t  diss my Mama
Facebook crazies cry abort
Sacrilegious hate

Oh my. I didn't know about these nut-balls....
I love your message to them,
you would make a great lawyer (or maybe you are:)
You are so right:
for not believing, they sure invest a lot of time and energy.

Annie, thankfully I missed seeing that page on Facebook! It's like so many of the liberals, they have a right to their opinions, but no one else does.
So, this abortion they refer to is that Jesus should not have been born?

What a horrible title and a horrible image they are giving themselves. And why are they even so focused on us who never did anything to them? These people seem very full of hate.

I like the way you used haiku to tie it to your strong feelings. I also like the idea of not perpetuating the hate with more hate and sending prayer instead. Good job.

Peace

my favorite line
" don't diss my mama".

goodness. if we could all look at each other as someones mother, perhaps the respect we carry for our own would spill out across all borders and differences.

Well stated, annie.

Wonder why Nonnie accredited this to liberals? It's not political, it is hateful. It obviously came from crack-pots.

Unfortunately, there is so much hate in the world, and freedom of speech gives everyone a right to voice their opinion no matter who it might hurt. Sad for these people that they have no other life, and emptiness in their hearts. It must be lonely inside them.

I too love how your haiku expresses what is so dear to your heart and how sending love and prayers is such a beautiful way to stay connected to what is important... I think that any time we lump everyone into the camp of any fanatics... we loose sight of the heart and the fact that we are all here together and that respect and love is the key to understanding. Love or hate? It is a choice that we can make every moment of every day...

Love and acceptance of everyone, no matter their beliefs is what I strive for. No room for hate in this world or in our hearts.

It's rather unfortunate, really. I actually pity them. And we must forgive such people because they are lost and do not know what they are doing. Powerful haiku
