Breathfilled day

Today is one of those days. Don and Quanah will be home tonight and I'm leaving work early to finish the return home preparations.

The yard will be fine tuned with two tomato cages and a set of crookneck squash; and a couple for pots (and more potting soil) for a Japanese Maple and a drawf fruit tree of some sort - probably orange or lemon.

I need to find out about propane tanks for gas grills and the back part of the yard need to be brought to some sort of order.

There are groceries to be got, picture chips to download and experiments with the super closeup function of my new camera.

I DID go for a short ramble today and found pictorial possibilities galore. I hope some of them turn out as I hope. But now my witching hour approaches and I will soon take flight into my afternoon and start breathing again.

Sounds like you are a busy little bee with all sorts of enjoyable activities to attend to! Regarding Propane for your grill; we purchased a tank from WalMart when we picked up our grill. Have filled it once since then and went to Souzas on the corner of Golden State and Canal. They have propane service that only ran about $14 or so for the fill (I forget the size of our tank but it's not all that small) and their propane seems to burn nicely. The new tank ran 2-3X that though.
Give my love to the family!

I've actually made some progress. It's 3:45 and I now have my Japanese Maple, a snowball bush, and a Miss Kim Lilac. Both are babies but will look very pretty next spring. I have the pots and soil; the pictures have been downloaded and I'll go back in an hour to pick them up. Thank you Meg for the tip about the propane. I'll tell Don about it. Now it's out into the backyard to put in the tomatos and squash, and repot the trees and shrubs.

Looking forward to seeing your photos. A short ramble and puttering in the yard... Sounds like a good day indeed!

Thanks for the link info: it is my niece! Those pots you're going to work on? I am so sorry I didn't get good potting soil. The stuff I got from HD in their generic line has so much trash in it, I'm wondering if this is the stuff I warned you about. I got it! Ugh! Your new camera is exquisite. The more I see of what you and Jeremy produce, the more I want to trash mine, and start over! Time.... I'd give anything to see Don's and Quanah's faces when they get home!
