Must Take A Break

This is turning out to be a difficult summer and lately the hits just keep on coming. The good news is that even though mom is in the hospital, she is gaining in wellness, is interested in feeding herself and will, in all likelihood be in physical therapy soon. Then after that she can go back home. But now less than a day after a good evening with mom, the swinging door has swung again and other serious family problems loom. I must have seen this one coming because the nightmare I woke to this morning directly related to the troubling story I heard last night. My sister is coming in from Texas on Thursday and she will be here for a few days and then heads back home. Somewhere along the line we will take some one-on-one time out and visit the aquarium in San Francisco. Then it is back to business as usual. I hope I can start writing again soon but I'm so stopped up right now, nothing works inside me except ideas and they are like wispy things that just can't take form right now.

I'm going to miss you all and I will no doubt peek in to see what is going on in your world. You are all welcome to drop me a line if you like as I will stay connected to my email. For now though, it is vacation time from the blog. I hope to be back and totally re-energized in a few weeks.

Annie sounds like you and I are walking similar paths with our mothers. Mine is 82 and I posted July 1/o6 "welcome home" about my mom and our journey into assisted living for her. Last weekend I did get away with natureboy for well needed R&R after 3 months of stress related to my mothers health care. You do run on empty both physically and mentally so I hear you. Thank you for taking time to come into my blogsite. Sit awhile at my garden. It is my place of solice but at times it is difficult to be creative. You take your time out and I wish you and your loved ones peace and rest.

My thoughts are with you, sometimes I feel we are like a row of Dominoes, take one knock and there is a knockon effect on the others. I think there are quite a few of us bloggers, that have worries about aging parents. I have a widowed mother of 81 who is becoming increasingly housebound and has only me to rely on. I hope your time off recharges you, but if you feel like a moan at anytime pop onto my blog, I won't mind if you want give vent, have a moan, or feel sorry for yourself. Take care of yourself. Love xx

Looking forward to your return and listening to the uplifting of this mood. I understand the foreboding that comes with some dreams. it is nice that your sister is visiting and you wont feel so alone with some of this. Have fun at the acquarium - it has been years since I visited there.
