What are the essentials in your purse? Once upon a time a book and a lipstick were the essentials for me. Anything else was necessary but not essential. Fast-forward to today. Oh how the essentials have changed. Now it's my laptop, my camera, my phone, a book and my lipstick. The necessities have narrowed to a hairbrush, my i.d., and a piece of plastic. I don't carry a purse much anymore. Now it's a tote, a very special tote. So special, I haven't even found the darn thing yet.
I've been to six stores and all over the web. I don't think I'm being picky. I just want something that isn't too narrow, isn't too long, and isn't to0 high. Something that isn't too vinyl, isn't too leather, isn't boring and dull. I want snug, wide enough, funky/cute, and at least partly canvas.
So . . . for now I'll stick with carrying two bags when I'm out in the world. One will be my Channel knock off for the new essentials and the other will be a little shoulder thingy carrying just the small stuff. In the meanwhile, I'll keep my eyes opened and be reminded once again about why I don't like to shop. I'm sooo picky. Hey, no I'm NOT.
