Yesterday I was at a seminar on Agenda 21. Feeding my mind is as important to me as feeding my soul and spirit. I was in a little corner of paradise yesterday and hence this statement of my stand for freedom and individualism.

YIKES!!! Think I'll stick with Christianity...
googled Agenda 21....sounds fascinating....Your photos are great - isn't it wonderful to be around like-minded people?
Agenda 21 is the United Nations Agenda for the 21st Century. It was given to all member nations. It is flowing down from top level of government to local levels as a full control of natural resources and people. The U.N. even produced children's books to indocunate them in schools to raise a new generation of controlable adults. It involves using the enviroment, i.e. water, as a means to take private property and relocate people into "Substainable Communities" to control every aspect of a person's life. The individual will serve for the good of the whole in all aspects of life and punished if one tries not to. This is not some movie plot. This is real. Check it out for yourself. Be aware of what is happening in your government, utilities, schools. Be aware of the U.N.'s International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives whick is in countries implimenting the plan.
Amen to freedom and individualism! I will be taking time today to learn more about this, thanks for raising awareness!
Thanks, Rachel. This is an important message. I've already seem the effects of this can of intrusion.
Always good to keep the cognitive wheels moving ~ glad for you ~ thanks for info ~ ^_^ (A Creative Harbor

dear annie,
while i support every ones individuality i also acknowledge that we live together on this beautiful earth and are effected by each others choices. sadly some choices carry long lasting devastating effects especially in regards to our natural environment.
for all our vast differences, we are all in this together. i goggled agenda 21 and what i read concerns Sustainable development. it looks to establish a pattern of economic growth in which resource uses aim to meet human needs while preserving the environment so that these needs can be met not only in the present, but also for generations to come.
my greatest concern for the future and all our descendants is this world home we all share. it is our responsibility to live consciously, to make sound choices that protect our natural environment. sadly the worlds population has skyrocketed to the point that we need protective legislation to ensure this gorgeous earth and all the natural resources we have enjoyed our entire lives will carry one into the future.
So important to continue to find our voices...and those communal ones are all the better.
Just finally discovered instagram (I'm guessing) myself...so fun, I love yours.

You and I are on the same page, Rebecca. The creator directs us to be caretakers of our world and I will willingly do my part. Unfortunately, what Agenda 21 promotes, as opposed to its outcome, are two very different things. Decision making on a world wide scale to promote the common good will ultimately lead to loss of individualism. Individualism, on the other hand, often, in the end, benefits the common good as well.
I agree with rebecca. If we don't find a way to encourage sustainable living and use our resources more wisely, we will not survive nor will our progeny. I believe that the issue of individualism and the desire to promote it while not paying attention to the larger needs of all of humanity is what created much of the environmental chaose we currently face. The wealthiest countries, ours being one, use up the majority of the world's resources with little or no thought for the future or the needs of other countries. I am sorry Annie, but I beg to disagree respectfully.
Noelle
A/21 is the best kept secret because of what it proposes: total lack of freedom and loss of private property. When cocooned in the soothing words of sustainable energy most of us will automatically go for the concept. The eventual outcome is something horribly different. Amador County has bowed out in CA, and Alabama just bowed out as a state. My county, Calaveras, is drawing up a brand new "Workable Plan", which is planning to restrict certain uses of private lands.
Just prior to our county election on 6/05, every contender was asked their opinion on A/21, which only 3 answered, one of which told the Taxpayer Association to leave it alone because the county was trying to get Federal funds for a project.
A/21 is a nightmare. Thank you for going to the meeting, and then posting here. Not enough people understand the implications. I have an A/21 widget on my blog. I don't think I can do any more than that for now.
What Rebecca and Noelle said. I had not heard of this group before, but now I'll see it everywhere since that's how synchronicity works. I'm deeply indebted to you young ones taking on the hard issues. I was so active in so many things for so long and now I find myself entrusting sacred causes to those with more energy. You go, girl.
Thank you all for your thoughts and comments. Rebecca and I talked about this further offline and like the two of us, we all seem be actually be on the same page. The Creator directs us to be caretakers of our world and I will willingly do my part.

Solutions for our world are not one size fits all and programs like Agenda 21 try to do just that. I'm not saying that and of you believe that way; in fact I'm sure you don't. I've been studying Agenda 21 for about a year now and this week I'm going to start a series of posts analysing chapter by chapter a book entitled Behind the Green Mask. I hope you will join me from time to time.
Thank you Fran. I had no idea when I posted this that it would elicit so much passion. Passion is good. It's the way we will help ourselves most successfully. It's what drew this poem out of me. A passion for good will win the day. The cold calculation that underlies A/21 has been exposed and now we can start fighting back.
i tend to be an ostrich some of the times. i go along my way creating and neglect taking some responsibility for the bigger picture and the future of our world. i appreciate this post and your passionate energy to improve our the state of our world.
thank you for visiting, irene. it only takes a few people working passionately to effect an end that benefits all not just the few. all my best to you.
