Cheeky Little Blue Jay

I was perusing my photo archives and stumbled across what is probably my single example of a bird visiting the repurposed birdbath.  What now holds succulents, at one time held  . . . . birdseed . . . . not water but, birdseed.  That sharp-eyed Jay enjoyed a feast that day.

ahh, i think it's a scrub jay - i miss them - their loud noises whenever i wouldn't feed them soon enough.

Up here we have stellar jays. They are bold also, but not as mouthy as the acorn woodpecker.

love the photo!

Our jays come down for a drink of water. Aren't they fun to watch?

Birds seldom visit our birdbath either. Maybe I'll try bird seed or succulents. Mostly the birds in our yard are trying to get to the grapes but they're safe behind mesh.
