Yes, Mary is living in our garage. After three days of converting our house into Christmas, I went looking for my Marys and found her in various places on Don's workbench. She is now Our Lady of Tools. Her guardian is El gallo de muchos colores.
In the house is now a collection of Marys, all residing in mangers scattered throughout the house. I'll save those for another day.

OTHER THINGS
I don't know what it is about little ol' Hughson, CA but for a small town which has only a mom and pop grocery store (yes, it's that small) they sure have a sweet choice of eateries. Hamilton's and Bob's have been my places of choice but now I have Main Street (thank you, Marie). The coffee is GOOD, they have a grilled cheese sandwich to die for, and a wall of veterans, current and from yesteryears. In the words of my favorite cyborg, "I'll be back".
And I always seem to be finding little back road surprises. These two kept my driver, Marie, braking. The trees were on the corner of an orchard and the tree right at the corner had ornaments and a stocking hanging to say hello to the drivers going by.
The Elvis was a big surprise. The front room window of the house was filled with a plethora of stuffed cats and bears AND this early Elvis. It was the craziest thing to see. Unfortunately, the rest of the house was a bit unsettling. All the windows were blocked with boxes and other things stacked up. We thought a hoarder might be Elvis's creator. Fortunately, I took my pictures and made my get-away without anyone coming out to inquire about what I was doing.

I love the photos in this post...the Marys, the Christmas mosaic, and the Elvis window. Fantastic!!
Now that is a LOT of Marys--all on the workbench? Your house decorations are stellar and loved the fun finds in your drives around Hughson. I was born and have always lived in California and thought I knew it well but never heard of your town before. I Googled it and now I know where it is in relation to Turlock and Modesto. I do know those towns. Do you farm?
Hi Fran. No, we don't farm. Retired military and law enforcement and higher education. But we get the best of farming (at least from my point of view). We get the farmers markets, the produce stands, and the seasonal beauty of the fields, range land and orchards.
Our Lady of Tools. Is that how Jesus got his start in carpentry?
Hah. Funny. Nope, I think he can thank St. Joseph for that skill.
Congratulations on 700!
Your Christmas celebrating sounds like you are having fun and that is a very good thing.
lol I have not looked in my garage but you never know...she might be there too.
i love your lady of tools, after all she is pretty darn handy at fixing broken hearts!
I love all those Marys in the garage!!! She is after all Lady of Abundance!
Lady of the Tools. Clever and loving too.
I love those Marys - Lady of Tools...how unique. We have an Elvis like that outside a fish and chip shop. Go figure. .
What a wonderful post for your 700th! Amazing collection of Marys, I look forward to seeing some of your mangers.
Congrats, Annie. Not only have you created more than 1500 blog posts, but they are still worth reading.

I love the Our Lady of Tools! Wonderful photos and mementos all. Congratulations on your chronicles of life, what a devoted blogger you are!
I don't know how you made the Mary photo, but it is truly cool. And, of course, Elvis is pretty cool, too!
Wow. Congratulations on so many posts! Those decorations are gorgeous and every tool bench needs a few Marys. Not too sure about Elvis, but he is a great find.
I love your Lady of the tools. Nice post. Thank you.
