Postcard from Paradise

I woke up this morning and remembered that 33 years ago today our family of two grew to three.  Happy birthday, Quanah.  You were slated to be a Christmas Eve baby and had the good sense to be born nine days early.  You chose Dec. 16th, a date that I later discovered was a most appropriate birthday for you.  You were majoring in music performance in college and shared Beethoven's birthday.  From his gift of music, to your ears, to your fingers and breath, music remains an important part of your life.  You went on to do other things later but music will always be one of the aspect that best defines who you are.  Happy Birthday, Quanah.

How wonderful to have a reason for joy today. Your son sounds as though he spreads joy too.

Happy Birthday to Quanah! Lovely photo.
Glad for all concerned that he arrived early - must be hard to have a birthday a few day previous to, or immediately after, Christmas Day. My Caitie arrived on the 12th - always grateful for that!
Happy celebrating!

Happy birthday to Quanah from across the sea.
You and Beethoven, that mus be a great combination.
I wish you a living, loving, God blessed year.
That you may prosper where God sends you and that you may be chased by goodness and grace all of your days.
From Elise

happy birthday to your music-loving son!
I don't know why I hadn't noticed your prayer requests section earlier, but I love and appreciate it. Yes, we certainly need prayers for our country. such grief is felt all over our nation, I'm sure. God bless you and yours.

I can so see you in Quanah's bright smile and beautiful face. Congratulations to you and Don for this beautiful light in the world, and for your mother's love, a gift for us all. And thank you for the e.e. cummings poem, it is beautiful and I will carry it with me in my heart... XO
