Dinner tonight is from Red Mill 13 Bean Soup mix. Add ground beef, onions, garlic, chili powder and tomato sauce and you have one fine chili. Not too spicy for delicate stomachs and filling for a cool late winter night. Food for the tummy.
Heart food took a big step forward today. I have a child's roll top desk and library chair I'm selling (all part of my online garage sale efforts) but if it doesn't sell as is, I've decided to take the next step.
Here's the desk. It's a little rough on top so after some light sanding, I'm going to paint it. I decided to use Annie Sloan's Louis Blue color. It's a pale blue and would work for a girl or boy.
Add to that the inspiration of asking Dana at The Emporium (Dana is on the left in the picture) if she provided vendor space and voila!, I have an opportunity to set up a little selling space. I'm starting the painting tomorrow and expect it to be completed quickly. I'll post an after picture when it's finished.
I'm excited. More soon.

Dear Annie,
You've got skills far
beyond average.
You are very creative and that desk will become a treasure in any child's room. I love to see your many ideas set into life.
I have a very similar child's rolltop but mine has three little drawers down the right side. I use it as a night stand in a guest bedroom. I'll bet it will be pretty in blue. Good for you for finding a little space for your own shop.

How exciting. And a wedding in the future, so fun.
Congratulations on your selling space - such a good idea to clear your home of things you have loved and want to give a good home to!
The chilli mix looks - and sounds - lovely. There's something very comforting about dishes made with minced meat of all kinds.
So are you going to paint it instead? Or sell it? Or paint and sell it?? I would buy it but you would never be able to ship it.
That is just too cool. Love the desk, as well.
Hi Ginny. Wish you were closer. I'd love for you to have it. If I don't sell it by Friday, as is, I'll paint it and set it up at the Emporium. Kind of hope it DOESN'T sell so I can paint it. I've had one nibble so I'll give it a couple more days.
Annie -- that's exciting! You are a vendor, a woman of business. And I bet that cute desk won't set there long.
Congratulations on your first booth! It is so fun, and that little desk is adorable! How cute for a kids room!
