Sunday Scribbles - Earliest Memory Deja Vu

My earliest memory -

What an odd feeling of deja vu when I read this week's prompt. I just KNEW that I had already written it so I went looking and sure enough, I found it. The Sunday Scribble - When We Were Wee.... was all about my earliest memory. I hope you don't think this is lazy but, since we can't really have two earliest memories (and I have always treasured this memory as my absolute first), here it is again at this link.

I hope it is new for many of you.

Another wonderful photo from Stock Exchange

Isn't it interesting that one can have only certain memories of childhood, and no others. We can't change them, and we find out that even in our older years, they define who we are, what we have become. You can change the scribbles, but you can't change the memories. I love that.

I fondly remember the huge back seats of those wonderful old cars! We went to drive in movies a lot, and I would luxuriate in the back of my dad's 1956 Chrysler Imperial, all comfy in my jammies and cuddled in my favoite quilt.

Your travels cross country are a lovely memory, and obviously a happy one.

It was new to me as well and so enjoyable! Although I was an adult the first time I visited the southwest, one of my most vivid memories remains to be how clearly you can see the stars at night :-)

It was new for me, too, and a wonderful story. Thanks for bringing it back for us.

I remember that post -- it's a lovely memory. I look forward to making travel memories with my own future kids. They're so powerful.

Such a lovely memory and written so well. I am a bit envious of you for having that early imprint of a family car ride and the nightsky.

Hey neighbor! I live up by Sonora. Your post was new to me and I related to your story, having traveled that route in an RV. I was 12 and just read my books up top and missed the good stuff :)

Oh, this is a beautiful memory! I'm glad you posted it since it was new to me. It reminds me of my family's car trips, though they were less picturesque--I had to share the backseat of a stationwagon with two sisters and a host of their stuffed animals and there was lots of squabbling. But I love the night sky myself.
