Minor Musing

Feeling very low today. Stomach hurts, depressed, super-uptight. Sibling estate money discussions are not adversarial but stressful none the less.

The good news is that I did three little watercolors last night. Six more to go. All my gas pumps in wallet size format. I'm finding that much more satisfying than doing the colorizing on-line. On-line is okay for figuring out color combinations but using the actual wc pencils and blending puts me much closer to the feeling of actually creating something. For me, this is a step forward. My photography; my watercolor touch; my art. I think I may be on to something.

I agree with Robyn. Give yourself time and don't rush the grieving process. But I do think art is so helpful. I takes us away from ourselves for just a little bit of time.

Hi Annie,
Sorry that today wasn't the best day for you. I do understand those "estate discussions with siblings" Mine were not adversarial either, but stressful none the less...
Your art work is lovely. I hope it's a relaxing outlet for you!

I have read about this technique of using watercolor on a b/w photo and have been wanting to try it for ever so long. You inspire me to want to move it toward the top of my list of things to try next.

Know that we are all her supporting you today in all the days to come.

Hi Annie,
Got your sweet note yesterday. I am sorry you were down yesterday, I am sure there will be days like that. And settling Estate matters doesn't sound like it would be fun.
I am glad your playing with your watercolors, that helps alot!
