Sometimes life offers up sober messages. When we doubt, messages can arrive in unexpected ways; ways that will instruct us and affirm our deepest beliefs. We have only to listen and hear. I just recently read a short story that had a simple and heart-rending message. It was a message from Hell, from one lost to redemption. It is a cautionary tale for hearts still beating with the breath of Hope
Our greatest torment
Knowing with certainty that
We'll nay see God
He who possesses
God lacks nothing; has no needs
God will not desert
Lonely I am not
Contemplation, inner peace
Inhale, breath of Hope

Lovely reminders of the power of faith. To the unregenerate mind, boredom is the greatest torment.

You offer here... sustenance and faith, of which springs clear and true from the wellspring of your dear heart... I join you here in "contemplation" and breathe deeply of this "hope."
Nice haiku set.
Namaste
"God will not desert"
To this thought I would add: "God is no desert."
Amen.
Haiku for Your Heart
More contemplation and inner peace, and the world would be a much better place. I like what you've written Annie.
These are great. The mood and sentiment make me think o the music of John Michael Talbot.
A beautiful speech early this special Sunday morning.
I will embrace the words "He possesses God lacks nothing".
At least for today, I'll try to keep my focus on them.
This is truly beautiful, Annie. Your writing is so from the soul.
