Postcard from Paradise

My favorite house in Turlock is in full bloom.  Every year I wait for just the right moment in the summer to photograph its seasonal explosion of sunflowers.  This year I did a bit of wandering up the driveway and discovered a little cottage not easily visible as you drive passed.

Of course, the dogs in the house noticed I was there.  I don't think they saw me, but if they are anything like my dogs, they definitely HEARD me.  I will admit that I was a little nervous that the owner was home but, truth be told, in all the years I've lived here, I think I have seen someone out front exactly once.

What's up with that anyway?  For a little house that is so exploding with life outside, it is so quiet and devoid of life inside (aside from the dogs).  Maybe someday I'll drive by and see someone out front.  If I do, on that day I'll stop my car, get out, and say Hello.

More sunflowers -- how I just adore them! And explosion is a perfect word. Yes, I think you should stop by! (I once sent a thank you note to the occupants of an address I passed by for their garden!)
