I went to bed at 1 a.m. this morning. Getting caught up in old Turner Classic Movies can be fatal to getting sleep. I noticed that the clock in the bedroom said 2:00 a.m. and I had one of those "Huh" moments but didn't pursue it. Time to get to sleep.
This morning the alarm went off at 6:30 just like it was supposed to. It's Farmer's Market day and set up was waiting for us no later than 7:30. Odd how dark the world looked outside my window at 6:30 this morning. How depressing to see, on the cable box clock 15 minutes later, that it wasn't even 6:00 yet. Who knows how it happened but somehow the bedroom clock got pushed ahead an hour.
I decide not to mention it to hubby since he was already up and dressing for the day. I figured it would be soon enough to tell him he had time for a nap. And - I was right.

I love it when i find I have more time than I need! I just returned from a trip to another time zone and always love the gain as I travel West.
Peace
I read somewhere that one shouldn't watch TV in bed as it adversely affects sleep...I guess that's what happened!
That was an alarming trick of time Annie! I am glad however, that you and Don where headed to the Farmer's Market and not out to sea!
Time can play those weird tricks on us... we only can embrace it as fighting it makes only makes you loose energy... I love your haiku!
Won't it be wonderful when we no longer have to worry about time? :)

dear annie,
i lived on the QEII for many years and your haiku conjured up those freezing winter atlantic crossings!
fortunately once we left england, we were always headed for the tropics!
hope you catch up on your sleep!
Extra time always a plus.
