Haiku My Heart



Winter alone chills
Orchard debris piled high
Tired smoke rises

Yes, this evokes a drive through Adelaide's hills here in South Australia - where they are many orchards ...and that winter and wood smoke combination.

i can almost smell the fragrant smoke and feel the warmth of this winter fire. we are expecting snow tonight and through the week, yet i noticed after my time daylight here is growing l o n g e r!!!!

Is that smoke tired of winter? of cold? I think that the wood of fruit trees is some of the finest...beautiful sentiments!
